Daphne Guiness

Daphne Guinness at McQueen's funeral.

Her cape is from Alexander McQueen's Fall 2002 collection.

Her outfit has apparently sparked quite a bit of outrage. Some say that it was inappropriate for her to dress in such an attention-grabbing outfit at a funeral which was intended for close family and friends who wished to mourn a horrible loss. Honestly, if it was at anyone else's funeral it may have been wrong, but I think what she wore was appropriate for the occasion and a great homage to her good friend.

I think I'm turning Japanese

A crazy beautiful still picture of Kristen Dunst in a recent video titled: Akihabara Majokko Princess. The clip is by artist Takashi Murakami and McG, in Tokyo. Besides her singing, the video is adorable with tons of amazing shots of the city. Very Gwen Stefani meets Sailormoon!! I wish I was turning Japanese.

Betsey's RTW fall 2010

Betsey Johnson's fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear line was very Western, and for some reason Kelly Osborn fit in.. because she was a model. She lost tons of weight though, congrats. AND she features Andy Warhol prints-whom owns my life. AND she honoured the dearly missed genius Alexander McQueen.

Russian skates

Marta just sparked a huge debate in one of our lectures-"Who cares if the Russians want to dress like this, like seriously, for the school we are paying for, our prof. feels the need to consider who the Russian figure skating team may have offended by this outfit? First of all they aren't trying to be aboriginals. I know Russians, and Russians are definitely proud to be Russian. Second, maybe our prof should look back into some history and consider what else Western civilization has done to 'offend' aboriginal cultures'"
Anyhow this being said, the class went wild and some girl felt the need to say that Aboriginals ARE 'lower', then me and Olive went crazy and laughing because this girl just said that natives are lower? IS SHE CRAZY. most likely -now that's "offensive" but I think the Russians are just figure skating, they aren't trying to make a statement about a culture. Just trying to stand out and be creative!!
